Thanks Paul, bought a suitably sized spanner and it came off a treat. Made cleaning a lot easier, don't know why we didn't do it before

Removing Amas
We normally winter our dragonfly on the trailer with the amas folded in, but want to remove them this winter. Having trouble finding a spanner or socket that will fit in the space though. What does anyone else use to remove the amas and the best procedure that you've found. If you have a youtube vid...

Bartels Roller Reefing
I have taken down the reefing system, and found it's a reefing system by Bartels. It's shot to pieces, but don't know what to replace it with. If I put a complete new system in such as Profurl, will it be strong enough to hold the mast up, or will the reefing part be under too much pressure? Christine

Re: Stiff Roller Reefing on Head Sail
"Christine, this could be any number of issues -- including corrosion or damaged bearings. The only way to know is to disassemble the furling system, and inspect it (and the wire headstay). " Thanks Larry, will strip the system out and have a look. There is no wire headstay as the furling ...

While using the light in the cabin, the "shade" part came off. I now cannot get it back on!
Where am I going wrong?
The circular switch section just does not fit into the shade!!!
Thanks

Mast Foot: Not fixed
Next problem: Mast foot. While lowering the mast at the end of the season, we had a problem with the mast mount which came away from the top of the deck sending the mast all over the shop. When we checked, it seems the mast foot plate was only held on with screws into the fibre glass. Is this correc...

Stiff Roller Reefing on Head Sail
It's that time of year again when I've got to work my way through a list of jobs on the boat. Can anyone help with the first issue? We have an original Head Sail roller reefing, but when reefing in, the roller can jam or just get stiff to the point the sail cannot be brought in on the reefing line. ...

Now you are going to think me fussy, but I did quite like the look of the wooden curtain tracks, that I saw on another Dragonfly 800. I don't like the look of Corsair's much (women's! It's all about looks )
But you've got to admit there manual is comprehensive. My DF800 manual is limited to say the least.
Photo's too! We could probably make a better one than we've been given by Quoring.

We've just bought our first Dragonfly 800, and proudly put her in the water this weekend. What do you use to heat your DF 800 cabin and cockpit area when the tent is up?
I don't want too much condensation, or anything too bulky, so thought I'd ask what others use.
Thanks
