I did'nt clean the tank but it was an error. What a mess! The tank cannot be emptied completely without removing the aluminium cover. A simple pump out won't emptied it.
It was not easy to change this hose, but since then the odor has desappear.

Christian, I changed that hose a few years ago. It's not a simple task, but feasable. On my boat, the hose was attached with other hoses with a tie-rap and it was out of sight. I have finally bought a Honda! The Yamaha seems very large and I was affraid it could touch the transom. I had to cut the transom at 2 places (approx 2.5 cm each) at the base of the wood pad in order to fit the Honda. I did'nt install it yet but it should fit correctly.

I have a 1998 yamaha and I would like to replace it with a 2010 model but the tiller handle is larger than the previous model and I'm afraid it could interfere with the transom.
Is someone knows if it can fit correctly on the boat?

Can someone tell me which shaft length should be used on the 920: long (20") or extra long (25")?

Also, is the Honda 9.9 can be used on a 1998 920 without changes on the mounting pad?
