Fridge fuse

Post by PYM »

I'm a new owner of DF 920 and a new member also.
The fridge don't work because the + wire is not fed (I controled it).

I think the fuse is broken, but I'm unable to find it and I need some help.
Somebody knows where it is ?
Thank you for advance.

Mine goes through the circuit breaker panel. Start there and trace back.

Thank you,
I've tried yet to follow the wire, but it disappears in the ground of the cockpit and I loose his track

If you can't follow the wire I suggest you search the web for all these words: Cable Wire Toner Tracer Tester Generator Signal Probe.

A tool like that comes in very handy on a boat. (Be aware it will not work on wires that are still connected to the battery.)

If you clip the signal generator to the disconnected end of wire near the applicance you can then move the probe in the area behind the breaker panel and the tone will get louder near the wire, so you can determine which one goes to the fridge.

Another alternative is to run a new wire to the panel, and abandon the old.

I found it

It was trapped behind the wall. I had to remove the fridge to find it.

Thank you.

I assume you relocated it to a more suitable location?
