Cockpit table

Post by Ipe Piccardt Brouwer »

I would like to have a table in my cockpit (in port, that is).

I seem to recollect an option to use the cabin hatch as such.

Does anybody have this option? How does it work/what does it look like?

Is it something I should order from Quornings or is there a generic solution?

We use the Laguna Cocpit Table System, which is also on the option list at Quorning. We used epoxy glue to mount some aluminium strips on our lexan cabinhatch. For details, you may call me at 0517-418430

Thank you, Jacob. I already had my eye on the Lagun system. Good to know it's the same as Quorning uses. I will call you if I encounter troubles installing it (I will pass Harlingen at least twice anyway this summer :D )

Bo, I'll try to take some pictures after it's finished.

Cockpit Table

Post by Bo Wetzel »

The following description and the photos have been sent to me by Jacob Blom:

Here are the photos of our Lagun cockpit table. The Lagun system is delivered complete, without a tabletop, because the acrylic companionway-hatch is used as such. Normally the big rectangular part of the system is mounted to a tabletop. On the DF that's not possible, because the hatch has to be stored in the narrow slot above the big sliding locker. So we used Bison Kombi Power glue to stick some aluminium strips together and to the hatch. This way we created a slim “slot” that holds the Lagun System. It is very important to measure out the exact place to mount the holding-plate to the cockpit side, because it is necessary to saw away a little piece from the wooden cockpit seat, without damaging the most nearby wooden girder.

The whole system is stored under the cockpit seat.
