Max load amas

Post by Ipe Piccardt Brouwer »

It's holiday time again! Time to pack dinghies, folding bicycles, beachtoys etc etc.
Does anybody know what maximum load each ama can hold safely?
I seem to remember it was about 40 kg, but can't find it in the manual.

I would think 40kg is plenty enough. The general recommendation is to load as little weight as possible into the amas. Store only light items like fenders, spinnaker, sailcover etc. in the amas. But remember, the hatches cannot be opened when the beams are folded. Therefore take those items, you might need when the beams are folded, out beforehand.
