Wind instruments

Post by Cruiserfly »

Dear colleagues,

who has experiences with a wind measuring system for the DF 800 ? I guess that the rotating mast prevents to use a standard Raytheon wind instrument and it wouldn't work, right ? How did you solve this problem ? Which brand and kind of wind measuring system do you use on your DF 800 ? Thanks a lot in advance.

Kind regards

Trilemma came with a masthead sensor that links to the display in the cockpit by wireless micro-net. The displays (and the sensors I think) are by tacktic. There is an additional 'compass' sensor that needs to be installed on the mast to correct for mast rotation.

This isn't installed yet so I hope it works OK....

Hi Phil,

thanks a lot for this information, I'll ask for more details at the Raytheon importer, as Raytheon is the new owner of Tacktik.

Kind regards from Austria
