Post by marco »

Dear All, is there anybody who can suggest the name of a reputable supplier of double braided leaded anchor rope for a DF 1200?

Liros makes it, but the end is finished in a thimble that won't go through a windlass of the 1200. http://www.liros.com/en/products/produc ... nchor.html

I don't know why you need lead. Start with 15 -30 meters of 8mm or 5/16" G40 chain, and use a sinking line (nylon). I prefer 8-plait because it falls better into the anchor locker. Splicing to chain is easy, you can find instructions online.
