32ft Supreme...Dyneema for sprit bobstay
Has anyone used dyneema for this? What size line? Fittings? I want to do this in order to eliminate the need to extend the sprit, to keep the stay out of the water. I believe having the stay bounce in the waves resulted in the failure I had at the lower stage. Does anyone have a better solution?

I've done this and replaced the steel wire with dyneema. The lower end fitting of the original stay jammed many times to the fixed fitting and it was difficult to get the bowsprit fully out.
I made proper roundings to the lower fixed fitting with a small grinder.
10mm dyneema without cover and Brummelman splice at both ends. The lower end fitted with several rounds of 4mm dyneema lashing to adjust the right length. Replace the lashing when any chafing seen.
Quorning Boat did not recommend to do this, but I do not understand why not. Dyneema is much stronger and better than wire rope in most cases.

Mike Harju, what type of fittings did you use?
