Can I change the centreplate control lines while afloat?

Post by Diana »

Our centreplate control lines are very worn and we'd like to change them as soon as possible. Can anyone please explain how to do this and if its possible to do it while afloat. DF 920e

Hi Diana.

Having just had our CB out during refit I think you might be able to, it might be hard to reach the downhaul attachment. On ours a previous owner had clearly broken a line and tied in a new one whilst it is afloat so worst case you could take that approach as a stop gap. It is very easy to remove the table and take a look inside to see if you can reach the lines, just lots of screws and a rubber seal.

Cheers
