Heater place to build in

Post by strandbar »

Hi,
I want to build in a heater. One of the parts, my strandbar doesn’t have.
According to the construction plans, the heater is placed on portside under the cockpit. (Close to the locker and fridge.)
What about the air intake and exhaust hoses?
Do they go through the bulkhead, really? Maybe, someone have an picture for me. Does anyone builded an outlet in the front cabin?
Thx
Andreas

The combustion and cold air can enter from near the heater so no holes are required. The exhaust can exit near the heater through the hull as high as possible. The heated air outlets in the standard fit are port side near the floor below the table top/cupboard and in the heads compartment. It is not a good idea to have an outlet in the front cabin because...

1) There is no floor area in there to have a low outlet.
2) You would need to make a large hole in the main bulkhead which is structural.

The 920 is small. 2 outlets are fine and the whole boat will soon be warm.
