Jib problem

Hi
Last summer I got a problem when sailing in hard wind – the jib was half rolled – and suddenly the rope holding down the horn to the roller (halshornet) broke and the whole sail rolled out. I hade to roll it back standing in the front.

This summer I found out that if I roll the jib partly there are some positions where the rope holding the horn to the roller gets to close to the sides of the hole in the deck. And the sides of the hole in the deck are not smooth. They cut the rope.

Has anybody had the same problem?

I solved the problem with the cover from a plaster roll and some duckt tape!
