I had to replace my 8-year old windshield this year do to lack of clarity. Getting it in the frame while dealing with messy silicone adhesive requires a crew with helping hands:
Finished result ready to go back on the boat...
Now I store the boat with a new acrylic canvas snap-on cover to help protect the polycarbonate from the sun.

Larry, Nice job! the cover and windscreen looks great. I replaced my windscreen about six years ago. The cover only comes off when we are sailing. With the cover on it there are no signs of the windscreen discoloring.... But I do need a new canvas cover! I do remember that it was not a hard job, just a real messy one with the sealant.

I have done this task about two years ago for my DF1000R.Double Horizon wrote:I had to replace my 8-year old windshield this year do to lack of clarity. Getting it in the frame while dealing with messy silicone adhesive requires a crew with helping hands:

One tip more: Use White Spirit to remove extra Sikaflex before it is dry. No more messy! It cleans your hands also.
