Unknown Blocks inside my DF800R Mast

Post by Phoenix »

Good day,
As I'm going to put up the mast on my DF 800 shortly for the first time (I bought is dismantled) I'm wondering what the two blocks inside the lower part of the mast are for. Are they maybe a guidance for the Main Jib Halyard. Makes not really sense to me...

Any idea?
Thanks

Main reef?

I guess you mean the two block just above the boom. Those are for the main reef, you should not remove these lines without replacing them with guiding lines - so you can run the lines for the reef easy even with mast up.

Many thanks for your reply. Bo was so kind to add the picture.
I'm a bit uncertain if we are talking about the same blocks. I'm talking about the two black ones and not the two white ones in the picture.

Many thanks for an update.
