Instrument removal

Post by DF35-6 »

My DF 35 has 3 Raymarine instruments installed in the usual place - instrument "garage" across the top of the hatch. The Raymarine manual implies they must be attached and detached using access from behind them. However, that isn't possible without removing (cutting away) the whole section of fibreglass that they are part of. What is the correct way to remove one of the instruments - anyone done it?

I had them removed by an experienced technician who had done a lot of works on Dragonflys.

He used a knife to cut them away from the panel. And then glued them back.
