Mainsail trim

Post by Christian »

On my old 800 it was possible to trim the mainsail clew position on the boom. There was a outhaul. A tackle in the boom stretching the foot of the sail. On the 920 the position can be moved - but there is no outhaul.

Is this a odd thing on my boat? Or have you added an outhaul?

Christian,
yes there is a standard outhaul. Have no pictures, but it is running inside the boom and comes out at the middle of the boom to a cleat.
Have a happy day on the water!

920 Racing had an adjustable outhaul. 920 Cruising only had adjustment when the sail is completely slack.

My 920 does not have adjustable outhaul.
