Re: Mk 2 centre board
Andy, no chance to come to the down-haul-access from the case top - it´s not enough space for Your hands. The pivot-bolt is easy to remove, when craned the boat, und You can lower the centre-board. I just did it last autumn without problems. Hi, My Mk2 (no 91) has a problem with the centre-board dow...

As a owner of a DF800SW I am a bit worried about this analysis. Knows anyone the correct mounting of the inner block in the backward beam? I am afraid, nobody does it. Can Quorning give us a detailed description of this important item as a extension of the boatmanual? If possible with fotos. Is it u...

Re: Cabin Light Fitting
Just try it again. It is a bit tricky, but you will fix it. I had also to learn it.

Where am I going wrong?
The circular switch section just does not fit into the shade!!!

Re: Mast Foot: Not fixed
Hello Christine, fixing the mastfoot with four screws in the deck is correct. It is a kind of predetermined breaking point when the mast comes down unplanned. Otherwise it would destroy the deck. I could learn this already twice on my DF800SW ;-)) Just fill the screwholes with epoxyfiller, drill new...

Re: Lifting Eyes
Has nobody any idea for solving this problem? Lifting-eyes at my DF800SW (1996) would also help me a lot when liftind the boat. regards & thanks Sepp My boot is a DF800SW 1991 Front Lifting Eyes: I understand the bolt on the front hinge (on the hull side) needs to be replaced with a forged lifti...

Re: 9.9 hp ok?
Important is the weight of a outboard so far astern of the boat. The buoancy of the 800 is in general quite limited. I believe, a 8hp 2stroke is the optimum for achieve upwind in heavy condition and avoid to much draft astern. I bought my 800 with a Honda 15hp 4stroke weighting >50 kg, which was def...

Re: Square Top Main
I am considering new sails. For the main I would like a square top. Can the mast handle the extra load. In the F-27 boats they add a secondary shroud from the the shackle were the running backstay adjustent attaches to the shroud (cruising version) all the way to the top of the mast. Or should I ch...

Re: Genoa furling system jammed. Fixing instructions.
My furling system top bearing was not working properly and finally it jammed totally. The seal of top bearing unit was broken and upper bearing was full of rust and did not rotate at all. There is possibility to get the whole rig down if the thread between upper and lower part of the bearing box op...
