Thanks Mika for your advise and the very useful parts list.
We overhauled and greased the winches and that sorted out the problem.
Regards,
Roger.

Anderson Winches
Hi David,
Thanks for your reply, and yes it worked. Was out today and fiddled around with the top plate and Bingo! she caught. I think they need a good overhaul when I take her off the water.
Sorry for the late reply just home from the UK after a nice little break.
Regards,
Roger.

Dear Gminkovsky, Thank you for your reply to my query but I'm afraid it does not solve my problem. The winches were not sprayed with a lubricant of any description and it is a bit of a mystery why they should stop gripping this season when they worked perfectly last year, and will still work with th...

Anderson Selftailing Winches
The selftailing winches on my 2005 920 are not gripping any of the ropes.
Could it be that the ropes have streched and narrowed that little bit, or is there some way of tightening the bight on the Anderson winches?
Any help on this matter greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Roger Ferrall

Fitting Trumatic Heater
Draken, The port hand side is fine but you cannot use the heater while sailing. See Jacob Blom's reply above. The problem is that it is recommened to have the exhaust pipe no more than 1 metre long. If you could proctect the unit then it would be better to mount it in the rear compartment and lead t...

Trumatic Heater
Thank you for your reply Jacob; I wonder could I move the heater unit further aft so the exhaust would not then be longer than 1 metre?
Maybe there is a reason for this too?

Exhaust Outlet For Trumatic E 2400 Heater
I have a Trumatic E 2400 gas heater fitted to the 920 which I bought last year and I wonder could I change the exaust outlet from the port hand side (just above the water line) to the transom? That way one could use the heater while the boat is in motion, or is there a good reason for having it ther...

Wintering 920 Out Of The Water
This year I intend to winter my 920 on a Brenderup trailer, with the mast up and the amas out but supported. Would this put undue stress on any part of the boat?

Hi Bo,
That is a good tip for hauling in the anchor, which I doubt I would have thought of myself, will try it next time I anchor.

Roger.

Fitting Autopilot
Hello 920 Owners,
Have any of you fitted an autopilot to your 920's?
I have a Simrad TP 30 Autopilot which I would like to fit to my 920.
Do I need any special brackets from the factory?
If any one has photos they could send me it would be very helpfull?
Kind regards,
Roger Ferrall

Hi Gonzo, That sounds like an interesting experiment, you certainly would have a lot more bouyancy than the standard 920. Have you or anybody out there heard of a capsize/pitchpole event with a 920 under normal circumstances ( ie. that is not a force 10 in the Southern Ocean) if you know what I mean...

Asymmetric Spinnaker
Hi Gonzo, First of all congratulations on your race win, and thanks for your reply and useful web sites. Again it is good to know that these boats can take a spinnaker at up to 7 kn and a choppy seaway, although I would rather you then me at this stage. By the way how come you have more bouyancy tha...

Jacob, Thank you for your reply, being new to Multihulls I had no idea what was a safe speed. but I think I will play it safe and wait a while before I fly mine in a force 5. I have enough room on the lake, (25k x 10k approx.) not forced to gibe, wave height approx. 1metre, crew not very experienced...
