problem with uk sails tape drive carbon

I found a spot in my mainsail where the carbonfibres lost contact to the panel and the fibers themselves lose their shape. Minor flaw or massive problem ? How can this be repaired ? Hi Jerry99,

there is a manual relief valve which makes it possible to tilt the motor up and down in case of battery oder tiltmotor problems.

i don't really want to tilt the 60 kg motor up by hand, but in case of emergency it should be possible to lower it gently and that's all we need.

Hi guys, although the only way to keep the prop under water under all conditions is to switch to an inboard diesel :-) I would recommend the 15 hp ultralong shaft motor for safety reasons: due to electric tilt and starter even my wife ( 69 yrs, 46 kg) is able to operate the motor . she did not manag...

Hi Jerry99,

as far as I know you should never (!) apply the mast pin when you are sailing.
It's for raising and lowering the mast only.

Hi Brian,

we sail our DF 800 on the Schlei near Schleswig and the Baltic .
in this environment VC 17 sucks, i would recommend
International Micron Extra.
