Fitting a boom vang
Posted: Wed 02 May 12, 3:46
Hello all
I have a DF 800 Mk 2 with fixed wings.
Even though there is a traveller for the main sheet I think it
really needs a boom vang to control the shape of the sail. As it is the top of the sail tends to fall off too
much in certain conditions.
I would prefer a solid boom vang though a classic rope one would
do. The only problem is that the boom may be to low to get a good
angle on the vang.
Has anyone installed a boom vang as I have never seen one in the
photos of DF 800's.
Regards
Ken
