Broken net rigging wire

I have broken the rigging wire that give tension to the net. As is usual with any rigging is broken in the join of the cable with the terminal.

To replace the wire I think that is necesary to remove the net and send it to the rigger, so that he can introduce the wire though the net before attaching the terminal. Other option will be to attach myselft a Sta Lock or Norseman terminal.

Question is, does anybody replace the steal wire on nets with dynema rope? . Will be easier to make it yourselft and have not problem with oxidation. Oxidation is a big problem for this wire because nets have a lot of water spray.

We are now in quarentene due to Coronavirus here in Spain and will take some time before I can go to the boat again.

I changed to Dyneema several years ago. Loved it.

Last year I replaced the original mats. New mats came with Dyneema.

Do it! It stretches out the air over a short time, so you will need to readjust them a bit, but the result is SO worth it !

Thanks Steve, will change for dyneema for sure.

Do you remember if is 5 or 6mm dynema? Have not access to the boat right now due to the Coronavirus state of alarm in Spain and would like to order in advance.

6 mm in the new mats we have installed.
Previously, I purchased and used 6 mm for our old mats.
